SpiraTest, SpiraPlan and SpiraTeam 4.0 Now Available

We are pleased to announce the full release of SpiraTest, SpiraPlan and SpiraTeam v4.0. This new version includes a major update to the user interface, support for mobile devides (iPod, iPad and Android), enhanced custom properties and workflows and a new custom report generator.
New Features
  • Support for thirty (30) custom properties per artifact and additional property types (date, user, multi-list, rich text, etc.)

  • Ability to raise incidents and add discussion comments from inbound emails

  • Cross-project resource allocation and leveling capabilities

  • Redesigned user interface with enhanced usability and performance

  • Ad-hoc report generator and cross-project reporting capabilities

  • Mobile web browser (iOS, Windows Phone, Android) support for executing test cases on smartphones and tablets

  • Enhanced permission system with more customizable and granular user roles / permissions

  • Support for displaying data in different timezones depending on user preferences

  • Support for user avatars within enhanced discussion thread system

Enhancements & Issues Resolved

  • System remembers the custom ordering of columns in the various list pages throughout the application

  • Ability for users to register for new accounts, with administrators able to approve in bulk

  • Progress indicator now displayed on incident list pages and tabs

  • Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format reports now available for all report types

  • Web-based event log added to make remote administration and diagnostics easier

  • Incidents tab added to the test case, test run, test step and test set detail pages

  • Ability to log incidents and run test cases without seeing other users’ information

  • Full list of test run steps added to incident description when logging an incident during test execution

  • Ability to remove comments from an artifact

  • Ability to give custom properties a default value and make them required fields

  • Configurable option to prevent test case and test set owner fields from being unset after successful test execution

  • Ability to edit the names of incident workflow transitions without having to delete and re-add

  • Test cases now displayed in folder order on release details page
