RMIT University was looking to replace their use of a legacy IBM Rational Test Suite with a modern tool that was cloud-based and easier to use and administer. In this case study, find out how RMIT were able to use SpiraTeam from Inflectra to have an online on-demand test management solution that would integrate with all their other testing tools used for teaching software engineering and quality assurance.

Helping RMIT University in Its Mission

RMIT University is an Australian public research university in Melbourne, Victoria. Founded by Francis Ormond in 1887, RMIT began as a night school offering classes in art, science, and technology, in response to the industrial revolution in Australia. Today, RMIT is a world leader in Art and Design; Architecture; Education; Engineering; Development; Computer Science and Information Systems; Business and Management; and Communication and Media Studies.

RMIT University came to Inflectra, looking for assistance in modernizing the tools it was able to provide for students for learning best practices in development and testing software applications. Inflectra's SpiraTeam application lifecycle management solution has been instrumental in allowing students to learn about software testing in a real-word environment. The ability to have SpiraTeam cloud hosted in Sydney, Australia and integrated with all the other tools used in the software development classes has been of huge benefit to the instructors and students.

We couldnt have imagined the incredible support provided by Inflectra in dealing with our issues and with providing such a great commercial class tool for all our students to integrate into learning and teaching.
