Updated Email Integration Available for Spira and KronoDesk

16-Jan-2019 by Adam Sandman Product News

We are pleased to announce the release of an updated version of the Inflectra email integration service for Spira and KronoDesk. This new version takes advantage of the latest features and APIs available in Spira and KronoDesk to bring some long awaited features.

Background

The Inflectra email integration system allows you to integrate your mail system into our range of test management, project management, and customer help desk systems. It connects to a dedicated mailbox on your mail server, reads the incoming emails and then raises new tickets in KronoDesk, logs new incidents in Spira (SpiraTest, SpiraTeam, or SpiraPlan), and updates existing tickets or project artifacts (requirements, test cases, tasks, and incidents) in both systems with new comments.

New Functionality

The updated version of the email integration service provides the following enhancements:

KronoDesk

  • Support for the latest Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocols such as TLS 1.2
  • The ability to CC another email address and have that email address added to the new CC field available in KronoDesk 3.0

SpiraTeam

  • Support for the latest Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocols such as TLS 1.2
  • The ability to include attachments in an email to Spira and have the new incident raised include those attachments
  • The ability to reply to a Spira email notification with an attachment and have that updated against the appropriate project artifact

You can download the latest version of our email integration service from the Add-Ons and Downloads Section of our website.
