Updated Synchronization for Jira Cloud and Server/DataCenter Now Released

15-Dec-2025 by Adam Sandman Product News

This weekend we just released an updated version of our synchronization plugins for both Jira Cloud and Jira Server / DataCenter. Even though Atlassian has formally announced the end of life of all on-premise Jira products, we have many on-premise customers of both Spira and Jira, so we remain committed to providing enhancements and improvements to both platforms. The updates to the cloud version include support for mitigating the recently introduced Atlassian API rate limits.

Enhancements to the Jira Cloud Plugin

  • [IN:11813] Release field Version# is preserved when edited in Spira
  • [IN:11887] Plugin now handles the Jira API Rate Limits more gracefully

Enhancements to the Jira Server / DataCenter Plugin

  • [IN:11903] Creator fields are now synced for RQ, TK, IN artifacts on updates from Jira to Spira

How Do I Get Access to the New Version?

  • If you are an Inflectra cloud customer using our cloud-based data synchronization, then you already have the latest versions. They were deployed this weekend (December 13th, 2025) automatically.
  • If you are an Inflectra on-premise customer, please download the latest versions of the plugins from our website.
