Why Is Inflectra Partnering with AWS?
Since 2018, Inflectra has been an Amazon Web Services (AWS) customer, using AWS' world-class infrastructure and cloud services to host our applications for customers worldwide. This has given our customers many benefits, including amazing reliability and fault tolerance, lightning-fast response times, an RPO of just one hour, and the ability to Geo-locate your data in a specific privacy zone to ensure you meet your data residency and data sovereignty requirements.
We are now taking this relationship to another level by becoming an official Amazon Partner in addition to being a customer.
What is the Amazon Partner Network (APN)?
The Amazon Partner Network (APN) is the global partner program for Amazon Web Services (AWS). It's designed to help companies build successful AWS-based businesses or solutions by providing business, technical, marketing, and go-to-market support. APN Partners include a wide range of businesses, such as ISVs (Independent Software Vendors), SaaS (Software as a Service) providers, PaaS (Platform as a Service), developers, system integrators (SIs), and hardware manufacturers, which build their solutions on AWS.
We are excited to announce that Inflectra is now an official ISV partner on the Amazon Partner Network (APN), with a discoverable listing for our company as well as our core products and associated services:
Under the Inflectra company profile, you will be able to see our validated AWS solutions:
- SpiraTest for Test Management
- SpiraTeam for Agile Lifecycle Management for Teams
- SpiraPlan for Scaled Agile Lifecycle Management for Enterprises
- Rapise for Codeless Test Automation
- KronoDesk for IT Service Management
If you are an existing AWS professional services partner on the APN network and looking to expand your revenue opportunities, co-sell, and co-market our agile planning, quality engineering, and DevOps solutions, please contact our partnerships team to join the Inflectra partner network.
In addition, existing AWS partners can now find Inflectra solutions by category and/or keyword. For example, if you search the AWS partner network for a "test management tool," you will see SpiraTest listed as a suggested option:
In addition to being listed on AWS Partner Central, the Inflectra partnerships team will be attending various AWS:Summit conferences around the world, including AWS re:invent in Las Vegas in December. If you are attending any AWS:Summit event or re:invent, please contact us so we can collaborate.
What is the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Marketplace?
The AWS Marketplace is an online store that helps customers find, buy, and immediately start using software and services that run on Amazon Web Services (AWS). It's designed to connect AWS customers with a broad range of solutions offered by independent software vendors, developers, and other providers.
Here are some key features of the AWS Marketplace:
-
Wide Range of Products: It includes thousands of software listings across categories such as security, networking, storage, machine learning, business intelligence, databases, and more.
-
Easy Deployment: Products available on the AWS Marketplace are pre-configured to run on AWS. Customers can quickly deploy software solutions in their AWS environment, often with just a few clicks.
-
Flexible Pricing Options: The marketplace offers various pricing models, including free, pay-as-you-go, and subscription models. This flexibility allows customers to choose a pricing model that best fits their business needs.
-
Integrated Billing: Charges for AWS Marketplace products appear on the same bill as other AWS services. This simplifies the procurement process and vendor management.
-
Security and Compliance: Products on AWS Marketplace often come with assurances regarding compliance and security standards, which can be important for enterprises in regulated industries.
-
Support for Startups to Enterprises: AWS Marketplace serves a broad spectrum of customers, from startups to large enterprises, offering solutions that can scale with customer growth.
We are excited to announce that Inflectra has recently launched its entire product portfolio onto the AWS Marketplace:
We have launched the following products and services on the AWS Marketplace:
- SaaS products that are managed fully by Inflectra on AWS infrastructure:
- Server products that are managed by AWS as Amazon Machine Images (AMIs) and allow you to run non-SaaS products in the cloud:
- Rapise for Codeless Test Automation
- Professional Services products that let customers purchase Inflectra implementation services such as accelerators:
- Accelerators - Each implementation accelerator is a predefined package of professional services that is designed to accomplish a specific objective with measurable outcomes and goals.
To purchase through the public marketplace, all you need to do is click on the View Purchase Options button, and then you can choose the pricing tier of the product that you are interested in:
You can then simply choose the appropriate license tier and number of months/years and then add the product to your existing AWS account. From that point onward, all of the billing is handled seamlessly by AWS, with the Inflectra customer area used to view your subscription and access your products. You can change your subscription tier in the AWS marketplace and that will seamlessly update the subscription in the Inflectra customer area.
Private Offers
In addition to the public pricing listed on the AWS Marketplace, we can generate Private Offers for customers inside the Marketplace platform. This is very useful if you are a customer who qualifies for one of our standard discounts (Government, Academic, or Non-Profit) or if you already have special pricing for other AWS services. To get a private offer through AWS you can either contact your AWS account manager or contact Inflectra.
How Does It Benefit Me?
Purchasing our software through the AWS Marketplace offers several benefits for organizations and individual users. These advantages help streamline the procurement and deployment process, ensuring compatibility with AWS services while providing a range of flexible purchasing options. Here are some of the key benefits for customers as well as Inflectra:
-
Simplified Billing and Payment: All purchases made through the AWS Marketplace are added to the customer's existing AWS bill. This means organizations can manage a single invoice for both AWS services and third-party software, simplifying the accounting and payment processes.
-
Immediate Availability and Easy Deployment: Software on AWS Marketplace is ready to deploy immediately, with configurations already set to be compatible with AWS services. This significantly reduces the time and technical effort required for installation and configuration.
-
Consolidated Vendor Management: By using AWS Marketplace, organizations can reduce the number of vendor relationships they need to manage. This centralized approach can lead to better-managed services, reduced administrative overhead, and streamlined support processes.
-
Global Reach: For Inflectra, listing our products on AWS Marketplace provides exposure to a global customer base already using AWS, significantly increasing our market reach and sales opportunities.
Overall, AWS Marketplace makes it easier for businesses to procure and manage third-party software that is fully compatible with their AWS infrastructure, helping them leverage their cloud investment more effectively.
Enterprise Spend Commitments
The AWS Enterprise Discount Program (EDP) is a discount initiative designed for organizations spending at least $1m per year on AWS cloud services and committed to extensive and long-term usage of Amazon Web Services (AWS). The program helps businesses optimize their cloud spending while expanding their operations on AWS. By entering into an EDP agreement, enterprises can secure significant cost savings and enhanced value from their AWS investments, which is particularly advantageous during economic downturns.
The AWS Enterprise Discount Program operates on a tiered discount system based on an organization’s annual AWS spending commitment, usually starting at $1 million per year. Key features of the program include:
-
Customizable Discounts: Discounts are negotiated based on total committed spend and commitment duration, typically ranging from 1 to 5 years. Greater commitments yield higher discounts.
-
Broad Coverage: Discounts apply to nearly all AWS services and regions, ensuring consistent savings across the AWS ecosystem.
-
Marketplace offerings: AWS Marketplace can contribute up to 25% of EDP spend. This includes Inflectra products!
-
Scalability: As AWS usage grows, the program allows organizations to benefit from increased discounts, promoting a sustainable and cost-effective cloud strategy.
So customers that are enrolled in EDP can migrate their existing Inflectra subscriptions to AWS Marketplace, and then the Inflectra products and services will count towards their spend commitment to AWS.
Should I Be Worried About Support for On-Premise and Azure?
No. At Inflectra, we are fully committed to supporting non-SaaS deployments of our product. Whether that is deploying our products onto bare metal servers, virtualized environments, private cloud platforms, or even Microsoft Azure, we believe in giving you the choice. We believe in keeping our products agnostic in terms of environment, so we have strong integration with Microsoft Azure services such as:
What Are Your Future Plans?
Becoming an official AWS Partner and joining the AWS Marketplace is just the beginning. We plan on expanding the capabilities offered by our products by leveraging the world-class services available in the AWS cloud platform.
For example, we recently integrated AWS CodeBuild and CodePipeline into the Spira platform:
SpiraTeam integrates seamlessly with AWS Code tools in a variety of ways. You can easily configure your AWS CodeBuild projects to report against a release by creating a new build in SpiraTeam each time they run. This lets you see the health of your CI/CD process within SpiraTeam. Learn More.
As part of our partnership with AWS, we plan to integrate additional AWS DevOps services such as CodeDeploy and Generate AI services such as AWS Bedrock. In addition, we are in the process of joining the AWS ISV Accelerate program, which will let us collaborate more directly with AWS on potential customer opportunities.
