Update Jira with changes made to incidents in SpiraTeam

Hello!

I integrated Spira with Jira successfully, everything works fine. Jira changes are automatically transferred to Spira but the reverse does not work (new Spira incidents are transferred to Jira, but when i edit one of them, nothing happens in Jira).

Here's the situation:

  • Mapping is ok, i don't get any error messages in the logs
  • I wrote "Both" (without quotes) in Custom 03 field
  • Resetted the synchronization in Spira

What did i do wrong? Or if nothing, what are the appropriate steps?

Thanks in advance!

This is working well for us.

Due to quirks in each individual Jira implementation, we found that the Jira user that Spira uses to login to Jira must have administrator permissions for any Jira project we want to update.

Yes, i know that, the user is administrator in Jira.

I would recommend submitting a support ticket with the details of any error or warning messages in the Event Log. When running in bidirectional update mode, there may be validation rules from Jira that are preventing the update which would be in the log. Our support team can assist in interpreting them.

In general the functionality does work as you are expecting.
