What's the meaning of test result: Caution? And can I add other type of test result?

Hi,

During my work experience, sometime I need to mark test step result as "Not implement" or "Obsolete" or something else.

Bug I only find: Pass, Pass all, Fail, Blocked, Caution.

Can I custom other result ? and what is the usage of Caution?

Thanks,

Yan Wang

Hi Yan

You can't add new statuses to the test execution part of the system I'm afraid, we only have Pass, Fail, Blocked and Caution.

Caution is used to denote a test step that was able to be completed (and therefore didn't fail) but had some minor issues associated with it. I.e. it can be though of as a "pass with warnings".

Adam is it possible to have a result of 'Caution' if there are incidents raised against a test case?

E.G if a P3 incident was raised which met exit criteria it could be a caution as oppose to a fail status associated with the test case?

Hi Adam, can we rename the status in spirateam? for example from 'Caution' to 'In Progress'.

This is required when the test team is waiting for batch runs to be completed (which are scheduled in two/three days time).

and will the new version 4.0 allows us to add whole new test execution status to the system? Is it there in the spirateam development roadmap?
