Linking test cases

Is there a way to link one test case to another so that the successive steps aren't executed until after the previous one(s)?  We want to test the full process which requires a handoff between departments and would involve different testers to complete the full range of functionality.

Our example: donor gifts are entered into one system, capturing donor, tracking and financial data.  This is followed by a file transfer of a subset of that data into our general ledger system.  We want to have all the test cases involved to be tied together for tracking purposes.

Hi Tammy,

Yes, you can do this with a test set. In the test set, place all of the test cases for the whole scenario. Then within the test set itself, assign the appropriate testers to the test cases. Important: Leave the owner field blank on the test cases themselves. You must fill in the owner for each test case on the test set detail page. Then assign the whole test set to the person who will start the test set execution. That is, the person who is assigned to run the first test case in the set. Then that person will see the test set on their "My Page".
