Are SpiraTeam Artifact Associations with source code kept in the SpiraTeam Database? or is this dynamic information generaated with the Source Code Integration and tokens in the comments.
I am looking to report or create a sql query to find all the source code revisions tied to a release (requirements, incidents). Through the SpiraTeam application you can only drill down to source revisions by one artifact at a time. I know there is a gray area of when you should be using the SpiraTeam vs. Source Code system to perform this task. But it would provide a good way to reconcile all the Source code that should be deployed.
Note: Currently using SVN
Hi Doug
Great question, currently we do a dynamic lookup of the artifact token directly in the external SCM system (e.g. SVN), so there is no query that can be done against the database to get the artifacts linked to a specific revision, though the Reports center will provide you with a raw XML version of the report that contains the artifact associations for all the Tasks in a project or all the Requirements in a project.
In the future (v4.1.1) we have plans to store a cached copy of these associations in the database and to allow them to be added through Spira's interface, so it will be possible in the future.
Regards
Adam
