Hello.
I observed that when I add a comment C1 to a bug in Jira, then the comment is replicated into Spira (correct).
Then, if I add a new comment C2 in Jira, the sync brings C1 and C2 into Spira.
Again, if I add a third comment C3 in Jira, the sync brings C1, C2 and C3 into Spira.
At the end in Spira I have 6 comments instead of 3, due to duplicates: C1, C1, C1, C2, C2, C3.
Note: I run this test writing one comment each 5 minutes, that is the time interval configured about syncs start. The offset I configured is 2. I'm using SpiraTeam 7.2.
How can avoit this behaviour?
Thanks,
Daniele
I observed something more: every time I modify a field in Jira, the sync imports the entire list of existing comments into Spira, so duplicates increase after each update!!!
More: if I add a comment C1 in Jira, the sync brings the comment into Spira
Then, if I add a comment C2 in Spira, the sync doesn't bring C2 it into Jira, instead it brings again C1 into Spira!
In the forums we cannot speak to specific cases.
In general there is code to prevent duplicate comments occurring, to assist, please log a support ticket with more information.
Opened ticket 87505.
BR, Daniele
