New incident created has "Test Run" steps in Description

Hello

I have just noticed that some of the incidents which my project user created in Spira Team, the Description section was pre-populated with "Test Run Steps" in addition to "Description", "Actual Result" and "Expected Result".

I dont see this behavior on every incident though and puzzled as to why this may be happening? The "Test Run Steps" is creating a lot of problems when it comes to reporting as we dont want to include them as part of the incident and hence, users are having to manually delete them before running the report. This is especially daunting when there are 50 or more steps to delete from this section.

Please let me know if anyone has come across this before or I am missing something here.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Praveen

This is actually the intended behavior. After feedback from customers, the test run steps were added to the pre-populated content of the incident descriptions that are logged during testing. This is only for incidents that are created via. the test execution wizard.

Hello Jim

Thanks for your quick reply.

We were creating incidents in Spira Team only when a test step failed during test execution. What do you suggest we should be doing to avoid the test run steps from being copied in the Incident description?

Hi all

we would also be interested in learning how to remove the test run steps from the incident description. Especially on reports, this looks rather nasty.

Many thanks for your help and best regards

But - please don't remove the test run steps - when reviewing incidents, so much easier to have the whole set of test steps to replcate the behaviour instead of manually having to enter details on how to replicate for every incident raised during test run...

thanks

Can there be an enhancement to have an option during Incident creation i.e. whether "Test steps" are to be included in the incident description or not?

This is an old post, but I I have not found the solution yet. is there any idea for someone how to disable the test step list in incident description?
