Hello everyone,
I installed the Excel add-ins for Spira (downloaded from inflectra website) in order to import test data in Excel, and then export them to ALM to migrate our test management tool.
When trying to connect through Excel, I get following error:
"Unable to connect to Server. The error message was: 'An error occured while making the HTTP request to https://spirateam.sofia.ifao.net/SpiraTeam/Services/v5_0/SoapService.svc. This could be due to the fact that the server certificate is not configured properly with HTTP.SYS in the HTTPS case. This could also be caused by a mismatch pf the security binding between the client and the server.'"
I checked already I have the same version between Spira and the Excel add ins.
Also I installed valid certificate in Excel trusted publishers, and add targetted spira url into my trusted locations.
With any browsers, I could sucessfully log into Spira but this is impossible from the Excel add ins.
Did someone already encounter the same ? Or could give me some other tracks to explore ?
Thanks a lot for your time and support.
Vincent
Hi Vincent
Normally this is because your server is running a higher security cipher (TLS 1.2 for example) that your client supports.
So make sure the PC you are using to run Excel has .NET 4.6 or later (which adds support for TLS 1.2)

hello
I well installed .Net 4.6.2 version of the client that is running Excel but still I'm getting the issue...
Is there another way to properly extract the tests from Spira in a format that could be easily imported to ALM ?
