Hello,
My client wants to organize their tests around tests sets that has to be executed by multiple operators.
For instance, let's say we have a test set containing 6 test cases. The first two has to be executed by the person who receives the delivery, the next two test has to be executed by the person who encode the package in the system and the last two has to be executed by a SAP manager.
My client wants an automatic system where when the delivery guy finishes his two tests, an email is automatically sent to the package encoder so that he knows that he can know execute his tests.
Is it possible to do something like that in SpiraTest?
Thank you for help
Hi,
It's definitely possible to set up tests to be executed by multiple different people. Please see https://www.inflectra.com/Support/KnowledgeBase/KB297.aspx for more details.
Unfortunately, right now it's not possible to trigger notifications on test runs.
Regards,
Elise
Yes, this kind of workflow is possible in SpiraTest, but it usually requires combining Test Sets, assigned test cases, and workflow automation rules rather than a single built-in feature.
A common approach is:
If you need a fully automated “step-by-step handoff” system, many teams also integrate Spira with external automation tools or scripts to trigger emails based on completion status.
It’s a bit like виртуальный подбор прически и цвета волос each stage is tailored and assigned step-by-step, so when one “style phase” is finished, the next person automatically knows it’s their turn to continue shaping the final result.
