Importing new data over old for the Excel Add-In

Why don't empty fields overwrite populated cells when importing from spiraTest?

E.g. In the Test Cases tab, if a row has a Type of ">TestStep" along with Step #, Test Step Description, Expected Result, Sample Data, etc. fields populated, and on import, the row is overwritten with a Type of "TestCase", the Step #, Test Step Description, Expected Result, Sample Data, etc., are still populated with the old data.

Usually we recommend clicking the 'Clear' button first. The reason behind it was that if you had more rows in your excel sheet than you import from SpiraTest, you would then have rows left over at the end of the import. So to prevent this, we would have then needed to loop through all rows AFTER the import to clear them out as well. We decided not to do this because people may keep notes in rows down below their data rows, or for a very odd reason may want to keep existing data when null fields are brought in.
