Hi All,

I have a query about the way that Spiratest reports on the progress of Test Sets, plus what appears to be a bit of anomaly. At what point *should* the status of a test set go from "not started" to "In progress" - Our expectation is that as soon as a test is started and at least 1 step of the test is completed then the set should be marked as in progress? Does this match general opinion. In addition, I have seen an anomaly (defect perhaps) where 2 different sets each are reporting differently even though the component status is the same (1 test passed, 2 not run) - can't attach an image sorry.

<a10:contributor><a10:email>support@inflectra.com</a10:email></a10:contributor><a10:id>http://www.inflectra.com/kronodesk/forums/threads</a10:id>

Test case/set reporting query (reporting on progress)

Hi Paul In general, it should change status when the test set is executed by clicking the Execute button (it does not matter if a step is passed/failed/etc. or not). However it only happens if this is done by the user that the test set is assigned to. I.e. if the owner of the test set is User X, only when User X executes the test set will its status change. If you have a specific issue with this feature, please send us a help desk ticket . Regards Jim

Hi Jim,

That's probably the case, can you confirm how I'd go about submitting a feature request ticket for consideration (the helpdesk doesn't appear to be for this purpose). Not sure why this functionality is there, and speaking to a couple of colleagues briefly, the feeling is shared, i.e. we feel that regardless of who is executing a test set, if it's in progress then it should be marked as such - however, if there is a reasoning that we have overlooked then please advise.
