We have Incident Time Tracking enabled for our projects. I have noticed that our analysts are allowed to set their Incidents to a Closed status, even if there is time left in the Remaining Effort field. Tasks are not allowed to be set to a Completed status if there is Remaining Effort, why is this not enforced for Incidents also? Is there something else that needs to be enabled for this edit to fire? Or is this not a current feature, but hopefully planned for the future?

Hi Vanessa Unlike Tasks, incidents don't have such defined rules in terms of effort, so you are correct, incidents can be set to closed even with effort remaining. This is partly because incident statuses are customizable, so unlike tasks they don't have defined rules.
