Hi SpiraTeam support, Could you please explain
the purpose and/or logic of having one automation host attached to a test set , and one attached to a test case ? As it currently
stands, automation hosts can be added via the administration > Integration
> Test Automation section and can also be added via Testing tab >
Automation hosts. That functionality has caused confusion over the past
week and we would like a clear justification regarding the intents and purposes
of having duel automation hosts implemented in SpiraTeam. Regards, Michael

You attach the automation engine to the test case , this is the plugin that will be running the tests (e.g. Rapise, Ranorex, UFT, etc.) I hope that clarifies things.
