I have looked at the Migration tool for Jira and have assessed that the tool does not support field mapping (Its a requirement), error reporting, and provides limited opportunities to validate the result before importing it to SpiraPlan. Therefore, I have now turned to the SpiraTest Excel Import/Export Tool . I believe the tool provides good opportunities for custom field mappings. And with the help of Excel formulas, it is relatively easy to edit the format of data as needed, even with large data volumes. However, I have not been able to find how to import Comments and Attachments with the tool. I also wonder if it is possible to install the tool offline. The environment at the customer site where I may perform the migration is restricted VDI environment and lacks internet connectivity. If the SpiraTest Excel Import/Export Tool does not support the import of comments and attachments , what other options are there to transfer this data from Jira Software to SpiraPlan? Has anyone done this kind of migration before? Im looking for answers from someone with experience who can suggest proven migration tools that would be applicable in this project.
