If I set the status of this bugs to "resolved" in JIRA the synchronisation of these bugs fails, the status in SpiraTest is not changed. In the event log of Windows I see the following error messages: APPLICATION.Web.Services.v2_2.ImportExport::Incident_RetrieveById: Unable to locate requested incident APPLICATION.Business.Incident::RetrieveById: Incident 65 doesn't exist in the system. My Incidients have a ID of 67, 68 and 69 so an Incidient with 65 can surely not be found. If have deleted some Incidients in SpiraTest. Can these lead to this confusion and is there a way to get ahead? However, task flow is becoming tricky. Typically, we will open an issue in Jira, pass it from creative to development to QA on its way to completion. The QA team cranks up SpiraTest and runs test cases. Instead of adding sub-tasks to the original issue, SpiraTest creates new issues. These new issues are unrelated to the original issue containing all of the files, notes, etc. associated with the work being tested. I end up with bug tickets that are separate and distinct from the ticket that originally called for the work. With 20 items in QA simultaneously, this is creating a mess. Is there any way to tell SpiraTest to create sub-tasks for the issue being tested? How about using JIRA's link to feature to keep the bugs tied to the original ticket? It is recommended that once the Incident is logged and synced with JIRA, that the incident not be modified in Spiratest. If thats the case , how do you propose that the tester close the incident once its retested. According to the process i had in mind. once the defect is logged in Spira test and synced with JIRa. The developers would deal with till the point they assign it back to the tester. At which point the tester will retest and close the defect in Spira test. Do you forsee any issues with this workflow? Also to integrate JIRa and Spiratest. Do we need to purchase access for all users in both to have the user mapping ? The model i had in mind was to purchase Spira test for only the QA team and they would log defect that will be synced with JIRA. So we purchase JIRA for the number of developers and not the testers. Would this be possible or we would need to purchase the total amount of user licenses for both achieve user mapping? I thought that we could just list the usernames in Spira for the developers and then the testers could assign it to the appropriate developer. I have created two projects, one of which syncs fine, the other doesn't sync at all. A) QA Test - this was created as a sandpit to work through configuration issues and to learn the interface. This was successfully configured to work with our Jira testing instance, and then updated to point to our production Jira instance. Due to a forced re-sync it imported all 4000+ issues from the production system, which is fine. It has also successfully created issues in Jira for Incidents raised in SpiraTest B) QA Production - this is created to be our production project for SpiraTest. The data sync details for this project are the same as "QA Test" - and the Data Synchronisation service reports that it successfully runs. However, no data from Jira is shown in this project. I have set QA Test to be inactive, in case it was only updating the first project, but nothing appears. I have clicked Force Re-Synch, nothing happens despite status updating to Success Any ideas as to what may be the issue? We have a locally hosted Spirateam (5.4.0.1) instance, along with a locally hosted Gitlab (11.4.0 (6ebbd70)) instance. I have configured as per the guide, but I just cannot get it working! The problem is, that we are using TFS for big amount of projects and I dont need to synchronize ALL the data. Is there any possibility to filter which data we need? In SpiraTest, the status does not update and stays stuck on New. The only way I found to change this status is to execute the workflow in Spira, which is independent of Jira. Moreover, warnings are displayed in the Event Log, showing us issues that we shouldnt encounter. For example, Unable to locate requirement mapping entry for issue type Incident (ID=10200) in SpiraTest project PR28 so setting requirement to User Story type. whereas we deactivated the requirements. We are currently having an issue with synchronization of defects created in SpiraTeam ported over to JIRA. Currently the JIRADataSync plugin has been configured and i can see that all defects raised in JIRA are syncing into SpiraTeam however I had created a defect in SpiraTeam and this was not created in JIRA. Is there any additional steps needed to activate the creation of the defects in SpiraTeam being successfully synced to JIRA? But after doing so, we still get synch errors through the audit log, and some cases are reported with several different ID reference errors. And I think the error is on Spira side when trying to do the synch, that it fetches the old ID reference. When an issue is created in Spiratest and only the mandatory fields are filled in it works, after the creation if you fill in the non mandatory fields they get synced without any issue.
