Hi,

we have installed Jira (V5.2) and SpiraTest (V 3.2); I know - both tools should be upgraded, but that's not that problem now. When detecting an e rror the User creates an incident in SpiraTest; due to the data synchronisation a jira-bug will be created. BUT: Sometimes the data synchronisation fails; if I have a log at the event log, there's a message like this: Index : 839752 EntryType : Error InstanceId : 0 Message : General Error: Response is not well-formed XML. at System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapHttpClientProtocol.Invoke(String methodName, Object[] parameters) at Inflectra.SpiraTest.PlugIns.Jira4DataSync.JiraSoapService.JiraSoapServiceService.getIssuesFromJqlSearch(String in0, String in1, Int32 in2) at Inflectra.SpiraTest.PlugIns.Jira4DataSync.DataSync.Execute(Nullable`1 lastSyncDate, DateTime serverDateTime) Category : (0) CategoryNumber : 0 ReplacementStrings : {General Error: Response is not well-formed XML. at System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapHttpClientProtocol.Invoke(String methodName, Object[] parameters) at Inflectra.SpiraTest.PlugIns.Jira4DataSync.JiraSoapService.JiraSoapServiceService.getIssuesFromJqlSearch(String in0, String in1, Int32 in2) at Inflectra.SpiraTest.PlugIns.Jira4DataSync.DataSync.Execute(Nullable`1 lastSyncDate, DateTime serverDateTime)} Source : SpiraTest Data Sync Service TimeGenerated : 01.08.2016 14:23:52 TimeWritten : 01.08.2016 14:23:52 UserName : --> How can I detect the defect test run ?

<a10:contributor><a10:email>support@inflectra.com</a10:email></a10:contributor><a10:id>http://www.inflectra.com/kronodesk/forums/threads</a10:id>

Synchronisation SpiraTest-Jira due to not well-formed XML

Hi Christian I would recommend upgrading to SpiraTest 5.0 and the newer JIRA 5.0+ plugin that uses the newer JIRA REST API. Regards Adam
