SpiraPlan  - quick start guide, I can not perform the demo

I m following the demo based od the Spira QuickStartGuide.pdf but I have the problems:

1. In "Adding requirement taks" (page 7 of the document), I want to change the estimate efford, the default value is 6 hrs, but I want to change to 10 and it is not possible, I can see the error message: "> You need to associate the task with a Release/Iteration to make it In-Progress" yellow remarked.

2. In the "Planning iteration" part, page 9, I can not drag the tasks as indicates the document.

Hi Patricio,

1. Sorry for the inconvenience. The guide missed a step. You need to show the "Remaining Effort" column. Then when you add a new task and change the Est. Effort to 10, you should change the Remaining Effort to 10 as well.

2. The document says to drag the Requirements, not tasks. Hold the mouse button down on the requirement icon, and drag it to the iteration. An orange border should appear on the iteration. Does that work?

Thanks.

Hi Patricio,

By "icon" I mean the small rectangle that looks like a piece of paper. Drag and drop should work.

Some things to try: Make sure to set your browser zoom to 100%. Also try a different browser. If you still can't get it to work, please log a help desk ticket with detailed information about what is happening.

Thanks.
Elise
